If you enjoy spinning silk, then you will also enjoy spinning this new fibre. With a staple length between 3 - 4 inches, a fine fibre diameter and surface that allows the fibres to slide past each other, drafting this fibre to the thickness you want is easy.
Split the roving into a pencil like thickness and spin from this. Keep your hands about 4 inches apart due to the fibre length. Draft the fibres into the thickness you want before allowing any twist into the fibres. Ply to produce a balanced yarn.
Skein up your finished yarn. To set the twist, soak in warm water, gently sqeeze out the water by hand or by rolling in a towel, snap the skein between your hands to realign the strands and hang to dry.
